Design Presentation on New High School to Follow

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Blacksburg High School will be held on Tuesday, October 11 at 3:30 p.m. Parking will be at the BHS location on 3109 Price’s Fork Road.
“We are excited with the progress that has been made on both the Auburn and the Blacksburg projects,” said Brenda Blackburn, division superintendent. “In the span of three months we signed a contract with the construction/design companies, completed 35% design on three projects and have broken ground at both project sites.”
At 5:30 p.m. following the groundbreaking the current design plan for Blacksburg High School will be presented to the public. The presentation by Branch & Associates and SHW Group will occur in the current BHS auditorium.
